Blackbirdfabrics provides many fabric choices for your quilting, sewing and crafting projects. Unless otherwise stated all of our fabrics are cut straight from the bolt in our store located in Ontario Canada

While measures in the USA are based on the Imperial system, Canada uses the Metric system. All fabrics are sold by the meter rather than by the yard. A meter is slightly longer than a yard - approximately 39.5". A yard is 36". Essentially a meter is 10% or 3.5" longer then a yard.

1 meter is equal to approx. 39.5" x 44"
.5 of a meter is equal to approx. 19.75" x 44"
Fat Quarter is equal to approx. 19.5" x 22"
